We certainly are having very fine weather at this writing.
The girls and boys are enjoying themselves by playing football and other games.
Mr. Wayne C. Brumfield was the guest of Miss Thelma Huffman Monday.
Miss Edna M. Brumfield was a visitor in Leete this P.M.
Miss W. Lambert of Rector, W.Va., was a recent visitor of Miss Hazel Huffman.
Mr. L.L. Lambert seems to have all his attention on Green Shoal as he goes to see Edna Brumfield almost every Sunday.
Miss Thelma Huffman has just arrived home from Huntington.
We had a grand meeting at Dolly on the first Sunday and we are also going to have a big meeting on the third Sunday. We would like to have everybody come.
We are having a splendid Sunday school at the South Fork of Ugly.
Mrs. W.M. Payne was the guest of Mrs. Tillie Huffman Sunday.
Willie Payne was a business visitor in town recently. Come again, Willie. We are glad to see you.
Miss Thelma Huffman is going to have a long vacation in Chicago, Ill.
Mrs. J.B. Gue is a lively visitor in Dally today.

Look out girls of Banco and Estep. You’re going to lose Basil Duty, as he is visiting Mud Fork real often. There must be some attraction up there.
H.F. Lucas of Elm Street was in Banco real early last Sunday morning. He surely was inspecting the “Candy Kitchens” of this town.
Miss Ruby Browning, teacher of the Broad Branch school, was visiting her parents at Cynthiana, Ohio, the last weekend.
Mrs. B.E. Ferrell of Mt. Sinai was a business caller in Banco one day last week.
Wonder if the “Boy” who resides on Elm Street saw the pretty girl from Daisy that was visiting in Banco last Sunday?
Jesse Justice surely will be an expert at swallowing taffy as he followed a mill all last week that ground out the goods.

Among those who were the guests of Mrs. B.R. Lucas Saturday night were: Mr. and Mrs. Egbert Mullins and her boyfriend of Huntington. They also attended the basket meeting at Needmore on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ferrell of Huntington were the Saturday and Sunday guests of Aunt Rispa Stone on Ed Stone Branch.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hager of Big Creek were the all night guests of Mrs. Jno. Hager at this place last Wednesday.
Wonder why Basil Duty of Spring Dale looked so blue while Miss Ruby McGraw of Logan was in town. Bob was all smile, Basil.
Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Ellis sure did do their bit for the meeting at Needmore last Sunday. They spread two large tables with good eats and invited everybody to partake.

A singing service was given at the Banco school house last Sunday by Prof. Albert Estep of Limestone. A very good crowd attended. All reported an enjoyable day.
Mr. R.L. Lucas and daughter Beatrice of Pumpkin Center attended singing at Banco last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ferrell and little son Johnnie returned to their home at Huntington last Sunday by motor after a few days visit with Mrs. Ferrell’s parents on Big Ugly.
Wonder why Jesse Justice was looking so downhearted last Sunday evening? She’s gone, Jess, but she’ll come back.
Misses Pearl Hager and Opal Workman were the evening guest of Miss Maria Lucas last Sunday.
Wonder whose girl Hassel Vance was flirting with last Sunday? Be careful Hassell. Seybert might get mad.
Peter Pinder was seen going through Banco last week enroute to Big Ugly.
J.A. Stone returned to his home at Banco last Sunday after a few days in Huntington.

Fred Lowe of Kleenkoal who has been ill for a few weeks has returned to his home on Ed Stone Branch near Banco.
Mrs. Robert Chapman of Estep was a business caller in Banco last Tuesday.
Mr. Earl Justice of Whitman attended the singing school at Banco last Sunday and was also the guest of homefolks on Elm street.
Mrs. Polly Ellis of Big Creek, formerly of Estep, is visiting with her brother D.H. Harmon at Banco this week.

Frank Chapman returnred from Hamlin to his home in Estep via Banco last Monday. There must be some attractions up there, such as the beautiful milkmaids, etc.

We saw in last week’s letter from Shegon an item which read like this: “Fred Woolum sure does look sweet in his new straw stack.” We have a boy in our town whose name is Fred Woolum and he also has a new straw stack. Just ask the girls of Sutton. They will tell the rest.

Miss Millie Lancaster, teacher of the Banco school left for her home in Martinsburg, W.Va., last week. She will be missed by her many friends.
