This log cabin was built by James P. Ferrell before the Civil War. 1998

My friend Mayme Ferrell lived here. James P. Ferrell was her grandfather. 1998

One time, I visited with Eunice (Peyton) Ferrell and Doska (Duty) Adkins. 1998
Thanks for sharing. Is it still standing? I’m sure it’s log under the clap board. Would love to metal detect there.
Someone in the family dismantled and relocated it after Mayme Ferrell died.
Thanks!
I visited with Eunice Ferrell back in the last 90’s as she was my Dad’s last surviving Aunts. I also visited Mayme in the cabin a few times before it was burnt down. Did a few funerals up on the hill at Mayme’s house.
Eunice was a longtime favorite. I’m thankful to have recorded her stories and recitations. Mayme’s cabin was taken apart and hauled away to another state; it was reportedly “rebuilt”.
