i was wondering ifyou know where there is the duty cemetery around big ugly
we aren t sure but our greatgreat grandfather bill duty may be buried there he was a confederate soldier and it is important to my children if the grave can be found
thankyou
I sure do. I first visited that cemetery in 1995. The Duty cemetery is located near the head of Broad Branch on the left going up. If you drive up that hollow and keep looking to the left, you can’t miss it. It’s a pretty steep slope and may be a bit overgrown this time of year. Bill Duty’s grave is marked in the cemetery. Good luck!
