Thank you for posting this exceptional tribute to an extraordinary man, Henry Clay Ragland. Jane Grass Hart
Good reading. I have never heard of him, May research him to learn more.
Henry Clay Ragland, a Confederate veteran and attorney, was a leading figure in Logan County and the Guyandotte Valley. Through his Logan County Banner, he urged for industrial development and moral improvement. He also wrote the first history of Logan County.
Brandon,
I was looking for information on my Aunt Mayme and our old family cabin when I found your website. I was wondering if I could email you and pick your brain about a few things! Thanks for the info you did have. Your description of her house was perfect.

Absolutely! My email address is brankirk@yahoo.com. I sure miss Mayme and that log cabin. I took lots of photos and recorded at least one interview with her. She was wonderful. Hope to hear from you soon.
