Fisher B. Adkins and Beatrice D Adkins were my Grandparents.
Hi, Charles. It’s so nice to hear from you. You and I are related through the Adkins and Dingess families (and more). I descend from Hugh Dingess’ first cousin, Minerva (Dingess) Adkins. I have collected a great deal of information and photographs of the old Dingess people. I have also researched Fisher’s life in the Ferrellsburg/Harts/Hamlin area and located some old photos of him. Fisher was a good friend to my family. I visit Johnny Golden Adkins quite a bit; he’s a grandson of Fisher’s brother, Aaron. He’s a wealth of information. I used to visit R.H. “Bob” Adkins in Hamlin, too, and he remembered Fisher very well. I tried for years to locate Fisher’s daughter Hope in Virginia. I never could quite make contact with her. A lot of my neighbors and cousins (mostly dead now) remembered Fisher really well and told me so many stories about him. He was such an important person in my community and I would love to know more about him. Please contact me at brankirk@yahoo.com!
