Johnny Golden Adkins is one of my absolute favorite people in Harts. He always takes time to speak with me about the old times. I regard him to be a good friend. I also had the pleasure of meeting his mother, Garnett, prior to her passing. She was a nice lady who told me stories about her family’s involvement in the Lincoln County Feud. I miss the old people. I have a lot of photographs of Aaron’s family — some unidentified. Do you by any chance have old photographs of that “set” of Adkinses? I am grateful that you would be interested in my book. Please keep in touch.
yes i have some photos of the family that i would share with you. please write to me at Larry Mannering po box 132 frederica, delaware 19946. i would be interested in obtaining any photos of aaron adkins family. drop me a line. larry
Hi, my name is Lynda Ramsey Dunlap. My grandfather was Aaron Adkins, we spent many wonderful times visiting at his house. My aunt Ivy Maud, my mother Marie’s sister, was a terrific cook, and we loved going to her house too. Sometimes we would go when one of mothers favorite nieces, Opal and her kids were there. Enjoyed all the times spent there.
hi cousin lynda. my mom always spoke kindly of her aunt marie. i dont remember many of our visits, however, i do remember my grandmother s good cooking and you would never go hungry at one of her meals…lots of everything especially fried chicken and biscuits and gravy. yum…Larry
