I recently enjoyed meeting 89-year-old George Brumfield and his family in Logan, WV. George is the great-grandson of Sampson Brumfield, a World War II veteran, and a wealth of knowledge about local history. September 2015

The gentleman on the right of the photo looks so incredibly like my ex-father-in-law, Robert Eugene Brumfield. His father was a Sam Brumfield. Robert’s mother and father divorced and when Robert was about six his mother moved the family from Crum, W Va to Rush County Indiana, just after WWII.
