Thanks for the post Brandon! Did you ever find a link in your family tree to Mahala Kirk (1812 to 1873??) who was John Spaulding mother (I believe). I would have to re look at my family tree (not able to at moment) and see her actual connection to Spauldings, but I was thinking she had distant connection to your Kirk family line.
