Oh wow. That article is very interesting and something like that made it into the newspaper. Very cool find. Were you able to find more information about him after this point, like did he recover from his injuries, did he leave the area?
Yes, I have reconstructed much of the story, although John Fleming’s fate remains a mystery. (See earlier posts under the heading of “Harts Creek Tales.”)
